- The MBDA Business Center is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce through the Minority Business Development Agency.The Center has been hosted at USC since 1996. USC was awarded a new 5-year program effective April 1, 2016.
- The MBDA Business Center, operated by USC Civic Engagement and Economic Development, formerly the USC Business Expansion Network, is regarded as one of the best centers in the MBDA network receiving numerous awards for outstanding performance. Its programs have provided services to thousands of entrepreneurs, helped them access over $200 million in loans and equity investments, as well as $800 million in procurement contracts.As a result of these accomplishments, USC has aided in the creation of thousands of jobs in the city of Los Angeles and communities at-large.
